Sometimes Losing weight is as easy as changing focus. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.
Weight loss is definitely more about your attitude and mindset than anything else. Get yourself into the game of life! Plan to win the mind game.
You don’t want to be one of those people that are settling for an existence when you could be living on purpose are you?
In order to lose some of that extra poundage, you may want to focus on activity time rather than meal time. I found this to be true for myself…
Let’s take professional sports for example. All pro athletes are at the top of their game physically, when the season opens and it is game time. They psych themselves up for it. Because the ones that take home the Championships will be the ones that come into it with the proper mindset to maximize all of their talents during the event.
Well, it is “game time” for you. Are you ready? You have to be able to call up all of your personal power when it counts. Life can seem unfair at times, so be ready for when things don’t exactly go your way. Don’t let obstacles or old habits stand in the way of you getting what you want. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
.
Weight loss is similar. You have to be able to call up the discipline you need, to say no to the things that will not take you in the direction you want to go. You want to have a positive mental attitude along with goals and high motivation. That’s what makes it work.
Concentrate on having a fun, fulfilled life, and food immediately takes on a less important role to you. You begin to eat to live rather than live to eat.
Remember that any diet, any disciplined plan for eating will get you where you want to go.
But you have to have the right mental attitude first. If you are not in charge of your thoughts and desires, then no weight loss program will work long term for you.
Feeding yourself healthy foods that will enable you to hit your goals should be front and center on your mind.
Put more ‘do’ into your life than ‘watch’, and it shows up in your lost weight.
So, here is a little tip that makes sense to me…
Your mind can hold only one thought at a time, so if you are focused on doing things, you are not focused on eating things. 🙂
