Goals. Work On My Passion Or Take The Day Off?

When-you-are-doing-whatDo You Work On Your Goals On “Days Off”?

Do you take days off to regenerate and re-energize yourself?

Most weeks I reserve at least one day a week for friends and family at the very least. I do try to blend work time and play time during the work week so that my days are more fun.

During the week I am usually serving customers in my offline business.  I work my day job six days a week and take one day away from my work.

I said that this is usually the case, but I didn’t book any customer service for today, even though there was plenty of contract business to schedule in..

But it wasn’t like I had a day off instead, although I could have taken the time off for personal stuff . . . but one of my passions is to build a profitable online business to further expand my revenues and enhance my lifestyle.

Since I am just growing some of my sites there is always something to be done. In fact, I stayed up half the night last night working out a traffic strategy for my online ventures. The challenge excites me. Moves me to action.

So, I guess that you could say that today is a work day but it feels like a day off because I get to work on whatever I really want to do. Today I was so engaged in my work that the day just flew by, and I hadn’t even thought about the time at all. Pretty much anyone who knows me, knows that I work a lot.

I have things to do, people to see, you know the drill. My goals drive me and my wife is tremendously supportive of what we are doing. I am so lucky to have her in my life. She is my rock, my foundation that allows me to do what I do.

I am getting done what I planned to get done this day and that makes me feel great! I would hope that everyone had as much satisfaction out of their days as I do. Following my passion means that sometimes I work through a day off here or there. I still feel rested because I have achieved. I have grown.

So, no day off from my goals . . . and I wouldn’t have it any other way. By the way, I do schedule “personal time” for myself and with my family, just not today.

I hope you are following your passions and creating an exciting, joyful life too. Dream big and persist. Big goals will drive you, so set them just out of normal reach and then see how they stretch you to do more and better things with your life. You need not settle for “normal” if you want to be extraordinary!
