Affiliate Programs, Two Tier Or One Tier?

How to Use Two Tier Affiliate Programs to Your Advantage.

To those who are not familiar with affiliate marketing, “two-tier” could be a new term to you but for those who are already involved, it usually means a larger, more consistent, and more passive stream of income.

Two-tier is an exciting feature of particular affiliate programs where affiliates are allowed to sign-up additional affiliates below them. Whenever the sub-affiliates, otherwise known as second tier affiliates, earn commissions, the affiliate that referred them receives a commission too. (Not to be confused with multi level marketing companies, although they have some of the same features)

In a two-tier system, the first tier of commission is just as in normal affiliate programs. The sole difference is that it has an additional tier or line of sub-affiliates, whereby the referrers also gain a commission on the additional tier when the sub affiliates generate their sales.

If you want to use a two-tier affiliate program to generate more income, you’ll want to carefully choose the affiliate merchant you are promoting, just as you would in any business dealings. Do your due diligence and research always comes first.

Pick those merchants who consistently generate a stream of high quality products, give high or fair commissions, offer real time stat tracking, furnish you with a proven and tested promotions section, and a proven track record of paying their affiliates.

It is also advisable to choose a web merchant that has a user friendly back end area so that you can easily monitor your sales page visits and sales stats.

When possible, choose the one with the most powerful marketing tools to use in promoting their products not only for your own sales but also for your second tier affiliates. It is also a good idea to create some unique promotion bonuses that only your affiliates can take advantage of.

You would be just wasting much of your time and effort, and worse, damaging your integrity when you choose to promote poor affiliate programs with products or services that are low quality. And always adhere to basic affiliate marketing principles… Don’t make these affiliate marketing mistakes.

That’s a big reason why it is important to pick first-rate affiliate programs, with proven track records and happy customers.

This makes it easier to not only build up a good relationship with your customers, but also, you can easily get more second tier affiliates to sign-up under you.

Let’s recap and look at some of the benefits from two-tier affiliate programs:

First, your profit will increase due to increased sales from the customers that your second tier has referred. Sometimes your sub affiliates will sell even more than you!

Second, you will have a much broader customer base to which you can sell your products and services due to your second tier affiliates. You can take advantage of their reach thereby ultimately increasing yours.

Third, you gain a more stable income because the customers referred by you and your sub-affiliates, tend to develop a fierce loyalty to your site and your product offerings.

Fourth, you have an army of sub-affiliates who will promote and resell your products and services to their visitors and subscribers. That is truly exponential and passive income at it’s finest.

There are some two-tier affiliate programs that are proven winners, and those should be the number one choice for budding affiliates to start promoting.

When you start gaining profits from your site, as well as your two tier affiliates’ sites, your passive income streams begin to increase exponentially and is virtually unlimited. Talk about exciting!
